Absztrakt (kivonat)

The purpose of my final thesis is to present the benefits of early language acquisition. The reason for the choice of topic was that I am working in a bilingual kindergarten, where the children acquire foreign languages from early age and my experiences showed it is beneficial for them. In the introduction part, I introduced the topic and I explained the main parts of my thesis. In the second part, which deals with the literature of early language acquisition, I wanted to give an overview of the main concepts, theories and teaching approaches, methods, which I think are the most important according to the topic. In the research part, I analyzed the questionnaire what I circulated among the parents in the kindergarten I am working in. I wanted to gain information about their language development, since they also started to acquire foreign languages from a very early age. On the other hand I wanted to get to conclusions about their children's language development as well and make predictions what benefits these children can have in their future lives. Therefore, I divided this chapter into two parts, at first I monitored the parents and then I monitored the children. I used opened and closed questions in the survey to get more valid information from the parents. At the end I revealed those results and conclusions I came to through analyzing the survey and which confirmed my hypothesis that acquiring foreign languages from an early age is beneficial. The final conclusions showed what other researches could be done in order to map those children's language development, who are exposed to foreign languages from the very beginning.
