Absztrakt (kivonat)

The topic of my dissertation is the presentation of the status of the Hungarian baths, trought the example of the St. Gotthard Spa & Wellness Thermal Park. The newest trends of the healthtourism and the healthy lifestyle give more and more significance to the baths. The healing effect of thermal water was also known in the earlier centuries, but it has began to come a significant role in the last years. Beside the healthtoursim new branches were born, like wellness, spa and medical wellness tourism. Szentgotthárd and its region are thriving the time of the economical changes. But the the thermal tourism is the only one amoung the economical sectors, wich foresees a developing perspective not only for the the town of Szentgotthard, but also for its whole region. After the history of Hungarian spa culture I present the small town, wich is the hometown of the St. Gotthard Spa & Wellness thermalpark, especially the facts like natural values, history and transport which are characteristic Szentgotthard. Nobody can dispute the potential opportunities and benefits of the St. Gotthard Spa & Wellness Thermal Park, however, it is extremely important to preserve the quality and constantly improve the services. But it is not an easy task. The complexity of services requires such a hard background works, which needs a lot of attention and know-how. To the holding of the quality, and to create the services the leaders have to take account of many factors, and to adapt to processes like the needs of target groups as well as the ever-increasing competition. My aim with my dissertation is to check the conditions of the Hungarian baths through the example of the adventure bath of Szentgotthard and analyze the current situation and give perspectives for further development possibilities. The basis of my essay is the presentation of the whole bath, its services and departments. For this town the toursim is the only way, wich can urge the development of Szentgotthard, the boosting of economy, improving the standards of living and reduction of unemployment.
