Absztrakt (kivonat)

In my paper, I focused on the promotion of small and medium-sized businesses in Lao PDR. The thesis will focus on the overview of SMEs in Lao PDR, challenges and obstacles, as well as the development plan in several areas such as productivity, technology, innovation, access to leasing for SMEs, access to business development and consulting business, promotion of building entrepreneurs and market expansion. I chose this issue for two unique reasons, both of which are closely related to my personal life. The first is that as a Laotian citizen who has lived there my entire life, I have witnessed the importance of SMEs to the country. Small and medium-sized firms (SMEs) play an essential role in promoting economic development in Laos; however, Laos' SMEs remain small and uncompetitive. Furthermore, due to a lack of research, issues concerning SMEs and the evaluation of SMEs promotion policies are poorly understood. These facts inspired me to enhance myself to find out about the situation for SMEs in Laos. Secondly the dissemination of information on small and medium enterprises in Lao PDR is still primarily in the local language and also difficult to access for information. According to the previous statement I would like to use my thesis as another article to gather information from various sources, allowing groups of people who are interested in this thread to easily access more information of small and medium enterprise in Lao PDR.
