We would not be mistaken if we highlight that destination marketing and country branding are shifting the face of modern tourism promotion by putting more emphasis on individuality, creativity, and complex development strategies. According to the World Trade Organization’s Guidelines for Institutional Strengthening of Destination Management Organizations report, to ensure the competitiveness and sustainability of the tourism destination, destination management necessitates a coalition of numerous organisations and interests. This already plays the role of the basis for cooperation and expands the circle of development in the tourism industry. This research focuses on building a multi-faceted country branding strategy for the destination management of Bosnia and Herzegovina from scratch, as the country does not have an official destination marketing body. The core purpose of implementing this complex marketing tool is to increase the tourist flow to the country, which is dramatically low compared to neighbouring countries, and build a positive perception about Bosnia and Herzegovina which is still dealing with the consequences of the past wars. The destination management and marketing path built through this research, “Bosnia and Herzegovina: Europe like never before” is developed cautiously with a high attentiveness to details, and with a comprehensive market examination. The research also includes a strong theoretical background, analysis of the data from a series of interviews, and public surveys, alongside the investigation of the official reports from reputable tourism organisations such as UNWTO and ETC.
