Absztrakt (kivonat)

This thesis examines the impact of regularly listening to and working with stories during classroom lessons on the emotional intelligence of lower primary school children. The aim of the research was to explore the difficulties teachers face when presenting stories in class, as well as to identify possible solutions to these challenges. Both a questionnaire and interviews were used as research methods. The questionnaire included questions related to a specific story, which provided a deeper understanding of the topic. Due to the limited number of questionnaire responses, interviews were conducted to confirm or challenge the findings obtained from the survey. Overall, the results indicate that stories have a positive effect on children’s emotional intelligence. However, the role of teachers as role models, as well as the example set by parents, is also of great importance.
