Absztrakt (kivonat)

Modern world focuses on having tolerant, respectful and fair behavior towards any member of the society, which in fact is ethics itself. Studying abroad in a multicultural environment, I’ve understood that these mora principles apply not only to your daily life, but to your professional field as well. And this drove me to look into this topic in context of education, leading to this research focusing on ethics in education. However, coming from a multicultural environment and studying abroad, I didn’t want to make my research only on one country, therefore it was decided to compare ethics in teaching in Hungary and in Kazakhstan. This study aims to dive into similarities and differences in the perception, understanding of ethics in two countries, as well as big section of research is devoted to ethical conflicts, dilemmas and way of resolving them. I look into strategies and experiences of teachers in two countries and try to find overlapping aspects. Living in the technological century implements this study to focus on technologies and their ethical usage in educational process. In the study I research situations teachers encountered bumpy moments with technologies, try to categorize it and look at the way they address these situations. To accomplish this, I used interviews as my primary research method. I conducted interviews with both Hungarian and Kazakhstan educators. This study might be useful for teachers dealing with studying ethics, for policymakers and for future educators, thanks to having real life examples, experience and useful insights.
