Absztrakt (kivonat)

I chose this topic for my thesis because it's an interesting part of the company to be able to expand and grow. I spent my professional practice at the company examined in my thesis, where I had the opportunity to gain insight into the current development of the project of expansion. Furthermore, this proved to be a good opportunity for me to examine the area and how it operates. First of all, it was important to introduce the company as a whole and how it operates, as well as its different structures and branches of services. Since it’s essential to be able to understand and explain the topic in more detail. GySEV Cargo Zrt. is a large company in terms of its size. Therefore, they can provide a varied range of services, this includes freight forwarding, custom clearances, etc. Although, the main points that were included were not only the services but also the main partnerships and how they influence the potential of the company were added additional, since for example the terminal is next to the BMW factory. My thesis consists of logistics and company expansion. The purpose of my thesis is to present the company’s situation and development opportunities, and to make suggestions for better/smoother operations. Since the terminal is new, it is crucial for them to further develop their partnerships. As of this writing, there is low activity at the terminal since not all train tracks can be used. Both due to legal reasons and both in terms of equipment (currently there are only two Kalmar forklifts). During the formulation of my suggestions, I aimed to consider options that could lead to further development and potential service capability. In my analysis, I also addressed how the developments could bring benefits to the company, which would naturally result in competitive advantages over other companies offering similar services.
