Absztrakt (kivonat)
The central theme of this thesis is school readiness, with a particular focus on the conditions required for successful adaptation to school. The aim of the study is to explore how TSMT (Therapeutic Sensory-Motor Training) can support the development of school readiness from a pedagogical perspective. Another goal is to demonstrate the impact of the method through the developmental pathway of a 5–6-year-old child. The theoretical and literature review discusses the conditions of school readiness, sensorimotor development, and motor development, all of which contribute to the neurological maturity necessary for learning. The neuropsychological aspects of the thesis also address neural maturation and the role of primitive reflexes: • The study shows that the development of the nervous system is closely linked to motor development and sensory integration. • A separate chapter focuses on primitive reflexes, whose persistence may hinder the emergence of higher-level neurological functions. The thesis also examines the theoretical background of the planned TSMT program, which supports the process of neural maturation through targeted movement-based tasks. The case study section follows the development of a 5–6-year-old child throughout the TSMT program. The investigation places special emphasis on motor skills, neurological maturity, and muscle tone. The results show that the training significantly improved the child’s readiness for school. Observations indicate that TSMT facilitates the attainment of school readiness and contributes to the foundation of learning abilities. The findings support the conclusion that motor development plays a key role in achieving school readiness. The summary highlights that TSMT is an effective method for promoting a successful start to schooling.
