Absztrakt (kivonat)
The preservation of folk traditions and the knowledge of our homeland play an important role in kindergarten education. The National Basic Program of Kindergarten Education also supports this. The child “ gets to know the homeland, the people living there, the domestic landscape, local traditions and folk traditions, customs, the experience of belonging to the community, the values of national, family, and material culture, learns to love and protect them”.(Government Decree 363/2012.(XII.17.), Appendix-National Basic Program of Kindergarten Education, III.3.3 point). Children can learn traditions better through various branches of folk art, such as folk poetry, folk costumes, folk dance, folk music, and folk drama. The preservation of folk traditions can be well integrated into kindergarten activities by observing our significant days and preparing for our holidays. Thanks to the activities related to traditions, children learn about the feeling of belonging to the community, it helps the complex development of the personality and also has the power to shape the community. By preserving traditions, children can become adults who love their homeland and stick to their traditions. For me, nurturing tradition has always been very important, it accompanied my entire childhood. I grew up in Szany, in a family that engaged in agriculture. I was introduced to animal husbandry, beekeeping, gardening, and the fruits of manual labour at an early age, and as I grew up, it became increasingly important to me. In addition, I have been dancing folk dance since I was in kindergarten, thanks to which I was able to get to know the customs associated with the holidays even better, the costume of Szany, the love of dance and folk songs, I experinced the feeling of belonging to the coommunity and most of my friends also came from the dance group. Because of my involvement, I also consider it important that kindergarten children get to know the traditions and continue to retain them. I belive that a tradition can only survive if it is passed on to the younger generation, if this does not happen, then all these importan values will be lost. In my thesis, I focus on introducing and passing on the traditions of Szany village. In the first part of my thesis, I review the literature on how traditions are passed on in kindergarten and the significance of active learning about the outside world. In the second part of my thesis, I discuss the research methods, my suggestions and questions on the topic and introduce the Rábaköz and Szany, discussing the importance of local culture. I develop and hold a sereies of three suitable activities, through wich I introduce the children to Eastern customs, the making of easter painted eggs, the presentation of material values of the local country house and the peasant lifestyle, and the children also get to know the costume of Szany and instrumental dances. Through active learning about the outside world, I try to introduce children to the local culture in a playful and interactive way. During the activities, the children cooperate, learn about community values and begin to emotionally bond with their home village.
