Absztrakt (kivonat)
This thesis focuses on the impact of specific food intolerances on the dietary habits and BMI (Body Mass Index) of preschool-aged children. The central aim is to explore how intolerances such as lactose or gluten sensitivity affect daily nutrition and contribute to deviations in children's BMI. The research highlights the growing number of children affected by these conditions and the challenges they present in both family and institutional meal planning. The study emphasizes the importance of recognizing early dietary needs to support physical and mental development. Parental and pedagogical roles are analyzed in managing special diets and creating a balanced eating routine. Through qualitative interviews, the thesis investigates how different intolerances manifest and influence children’s eating behavior. The research also discusses the limitations of BMI as a health indicator in young children with dietary restrictions. Personalized nutrition based on individual intolerance and growth patterns is recommended. The study contributes to the broader understanding of early childhood health and dietary adaptation. Its goal is to support more inclusive, health-conscious strategies in early childhood education and care.
