Absztrakt (kivonat)
The effects of an individual's nutrition on the environment were analyzed in the research from the perspective of sustainability, with attention to the characteristics of nutrition in the first three years of life, in the division of the most decisive nutritional milestones of early childhood. In the following, the experiences of Hungarian parents participating in the study regarding infant nutrition, the causes of problems related to nutrition, and their environmental effects will be described, based on the ideas expressed in the literature. I studied the factors playing a role in the selection of ingredients during the complementary feeding period, and the effects of food preparation processes on the environment. The research also analyzes the characteristics of young children's nutritional habits, from the perspective of both the interviewed parents and early childhood educators. The results may provide a more accurate picture of the ecological footprint of the nutrition of the 0-3 years old age group in Hungary. In my research, I analyzed these processes in terms of their effects on the environment, based on the theories cited in the literature review.
