To evaluate Schneider Electric's commitment to achieving net zero carbon emissions, this research examines the company's unique Net Zero Carbon Project and intricate Sustainable Procurement Process. The research seeks to examine the growing importance of sustainability in the corporate environment, as well as the potential benefits of integrating sustainable practices throughout the entire supply chain. This study looks at Schneider Electric's operations and potential impacts using a case study approach. The goal of this thesis is to close the gap between the existing procurement procedures and the goal of reaching net zero carbon emissions. The case study will provide an action plan that shows that achieving net zero carbon emissions is a realistic goal for businesses. The increasing pressure on corporations to do business sustainably and growing environmental concerns have made sustainable procurement increasingly relevant. In order to achieve net zero carbon emissions in multinational corporations, there is research need that is addressed by this thesis on practical sustainable procurement strategies. Although increasingly large organizations are investigating sustainable procurement, little is known about its implementation and challenges. Based on the findings, it is evident that companies that place a high priority on sustainable procurement are becoming both eco-friendlier and more efficient, indicating that sustainable methods are financially viable. More investments for eco-friendly purchases should be encouraged by this achievement. By employing a careful procurement strategy such as selecting suppliers based on their sustainable practices, collaborating with suppliers to understand more about their challenges, researching and staying informed on best practices, monitoring and reporting suppliers’ performance based on sustainability performance metrics, and collaborating in sustainability events will enhance productivity. Businesses may contribute to a sustainable and successful future while also potentially cutting down on costs.
